2024 County Convention

The Polk County Republican Party will hold its 2024 Annual Precinct Meetings and County Convention on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at the Republican Party Headquarters, 33 S. Peak Street Columbus, NC, 28722. Doors open at 1pm for registration, the Annual Precinct Meetings will commence at 2pm, and the County Convention will follow at 3pm.

All registered Republicans in Polk County are invited and encouraged to attend!

You must be a registered Republican as of January 31st in Polk County or newly registered by March 8th to be eligible to be seated as a delegate. Please bring a government issued ID with you for check-in.

If you wish to serve as a delegate to the County Convention, you MUST be present for the Annual Precinct Meetings at 2pm. If you wish to serve as a delegate or alternate to the District Convention (11th or 14th), or to the NCGOP State Convention, you must be seated as a delegate to the County Convention.

District 11 Convention is April 27th, 2024 at 10am in Haywood County.

District 14 Convention is April 27th, 2024 at 1pm in Gaston County.

NCGOP State Convention is May 23rd-May 26th in Greensboro, NC at the Koury Convention Center.

2024 Republican National Convention is July 15th-July 18th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Polk County Republican Party is required to pay a fee to the State Party for each delegate and alternate elected to the State Convention. If you would like to help offset the fees and costs associated with the 2024 County Convention, please click here to donate.
