Newsletter 8/22/22

Aug 22, 2022

We’re at a critical point preparing for this year’s election.

There are specific areas where we need HELP and time is of the essence.   If you can assist us,  please do so, devoting a couple hours a week to help get people registered to vote, promote our candidates and tell the truth of America’s alarming state of affairs.   Here’s what we urgently need:

  • A couple folks in Saluda to work on our Precinct team
  • A couple folks in the Mill Spring area to be part of a Precinct Team
  • Volunteers to be greeters at our headquarters
  • Volunteers to be poll observers during the voting period
  • For other ways to volunteer, click here

Contact us if you can help!  Our contact information is at the end of the bottom of the newsletter.

GUN RAFFLE fundraiser

Buy a single ticket for $5 or a pack of 5 for $20.

Ticket sales end Sept 5th  (Labor Day) and the drawing will take place at our monthly meeting on Thursday, Sep 8th.  The winner does not have to be present to win.  A complete list of ALL ticket holders and the number of tickets purchased will be in the hands of our Treasurer.  Ticket holders may contact us before the drawing to confirm ticket purchase.  In addition, we will be contacting ALL ticket holders  prior to the drawing.  If we have contact information, we will call or send an email.  Otherwise, we will send out a postcard to re-confirm entry into the drawing.

Gun raffles help raise funds for  the Polk County Republican Party.  Each year so far, a local winner has taken home the prize.  With your help, we hope to have another successful raffle this year.  All funds go to maintain our beautiful facility and support the activities of the local Party.  All ticket sales are online only this year, no paper tickets, to save money and make purchase more convenient.

This year, we’re announcing a runner up prize of $100 for the 2nd place winner.  So, get your card ready and get your ticket(s) today

Polk County is one of only  a handful of Republican Parties in the state to own its own facility.  That is a mark of distinction and pride for us.  We do our best to maintain our  beautiful facility.  It’s dedicated to the woman responsible for donating the property … Sarah Ernst Darnall.  There are times, however,  when we need help with some maintenance issues and improvements.  So, on Saturday, Sept 10th, 9 – 11 AM, we’ll be doing some outside painting of the exterior doors and the parking lot railing.  Please come join us if you can spare a couple hours.  Contact us at [email protected] if you can help.
